Jeff Hoff was raised and currently resides in North Dakota. His early subjects were ducks and songbirds, but being surrounded by nature, Jeff soon discovered grizzly bears, black bears, elk and moose.

Jeff loves observing nature in the wild and considers himself lucky because it allows him to research and gain first-hand knowledge of his subject matter. Jeff paints with both acrylic and oils. When starting a new canvas, Jeff lets his mood and idea guide him as to what medium will work best. Acrylics are Jeff’s medium of choice because they dry fast and allow him to make changes to the canvas, which permits him to continue working without delays.
