Kentaro Nishino was born in the beautiful ancient city in Kanazawa Ishikawa prefecture Japan. Kentaro’s father is a mountaineer and as a child, he joined his father on many mountaineering adventures where he experienced breathtaking landscapes and animals in their natural habitats. These experiences left their indelible mark on Kentaro’s life.

Kentaro moved to Hawaii to study at the University of Hawaii and graduated with a degree in Art Illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. The clarity of light and the vivid colors Kentaro experienced in Hawaii, were the inspiration that launched his artistic style. Kentaro is nature’s messenger and he hopes his paintings communicate a story with the ending contributed by the viewer.
