Rosiland Solomon is an award-winning artist and illustrator, who has spent most of her adult life as a commercial painter. Her research whether outdoors, or in a library, bookstore or mall is one of her favorite parts of the creative process.
Rosiland was born in Los Angeles, but at a very young age moved to Ohio. She spent her childhood on the east side of Cleveland surrounded by meadows and fields rich with wildflowers, and forests full of foxes, raccoons, rabbits and chipmunks. Having grown up with a love for animals and nature, Rosiland moved back to her native California. She now lives in San Francisco by the Pacific Ocean and Golden Gate Park and has turned her attention to creating lovely images specifically for license onto a broad range of consumer home products in areas as diverse as stationery, gift ware, games, puzzles, greeting cards, and children’s nature books.
Rosiland’s licensees include Walt Disney Productions, Carnation, Travelsmith, Houghton Mifflin, Clorox, Random House, Scholastic, Golden Books, and numerous others.
Rosiland’s paintings are available for purchase as Giclee prints or enlarged stretched canvases. If you are interested in learning more about Rosiland visit www.rsolomon.com.
