Wendy Marquis was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to an artistic family and was exposed to the exposed to the works of great masters at an early age. She attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and graduated with a BFA from the University of Arizona.
Wendy expanded her education with workshops in faux finishing, furniture and mural painting where her art flourished and found its way into hotels, homes and businesses throughout central New Hampshire.
After moving to Montana with her husband, 2 daughters and dogs, Wendy has grown into a prolific oil painter and art teacher. Her studio/gallery is located in Belgrade, Montana in a beautiful one hundred year old building that was formerly a bank. Wendy is happiest when she is working with her dogs by her side, the afternoon sun shines through her studio’s big picture window, and beautiful music is playing in the background.
