Frances Tyrrell has been painting since her early childhood. She graduated from her Montreal high school with the award in art, and went on to attend the University of Western Ontario where Frances studied fine art. Her imagination, detailed romantic style, and luminous use of watercolor, allows Frances to create paintings that are magical.

She brings the spirit of a bygone age to her contemporary illustrations. Frances has illustrated numerous award-winning children's books, which have been published internationally and in several languages. Her art has been licensed for various products; including greeting cards, ornaments, puzzles, home decorations and packaging.
